In principle, squats can be performed with the ATX® Triplex Workout Station. To do this, the Lever Arm Straight Bar included in the scope of delivery is attached to the lever arms and positioned on the shoulders or upper back area, similar to a classic barbell squat.
However, due to the construction-related movement radius of the lever arms, freedom of movement is limited. As a result, particularly for taller individuals, it may not be possible to achieve the desired or full range of motion. For regularly performed squats with movement that is as natural and unrestricted as possible, the station is therefore only conditionally suitable.
No, the ATX® Multi Bench MBX-520 is not compatible with the ATX® Triplex Workout Station.
The ATX® Multibank RAS 2.0 - Dumbbell Bench included in the delivery of the Triplex Workout Station is permanently integrated into the system and cannot be removed or replaced with another dumbbell bench.
The dimensional drawing of the ATX® Triplex Workout Station shows the static base dimensions of the equipment. The station is approximately 123 cm deep without the workout bench extended; including the bench pulled forward, the total depth is around 211 cm.
However, for setup you must also account for the movement path of the rear weight plate attachment. When operating the lat pull / rowing function, the loaded lever arm moves in a circular arc and swings beyond the static base dimensions of the equipment toward the rear. The 123 cm shown in the drawing does not fully capture this dynamic range.
To ensure the lever mechanism, including the loaded weight plates, does not strike a wall, baseboard, or other objects throughout the entire movement, we recommend a minimum additional clearance of at least 30 cm behind the rearmost point of the base frame. A distance of approximately 40 cm is more comfortable and safer, especially when larger weight plates are used or sufficient space is needed for loading the attachment.
For space planning, you should therefore calculate a total depth of approximately 153 to 163 cm for the base unit without the bench extended. Including the workout bench pulled forward, the space requirement is approximately 241 to 251 cm.
The actual required distance may vary slightly depending on the diameter and number of weight plates used. Before final positioning, the lat pull / rowing function should be operated once unloaded through the complete range of motion and then checked with the intended weight plates.
The upper and lower cable pulls of the ATX® Triplex Workout Station operate with a direct 1:1 pulley ratio.
This means: The weight mounted on the weight stack or on the attachment corresponds — apart from minor friction losses in the pulley system — to the actual training resistance at the pull handle.
The 1:1 pulley ratio applies to both the upper pull and the lower pull. This makes the station particularly suitable for heavy lat pulldowns, rowing, and other pulling exercises with a direct, powerful resistance feel.
No, weight plates are not included in the delivery of the ATX® Triplex Workout Station and must be ordered separately. Both the lever arm multi-press and the lat pulldown are equipped by default with disc collars of 30 mm diameter for corresponding 30 mm weight plates.
If you want to use 50 mm weight plates, you will need the optional adapter BB-OA-250-PVC. You will need two adapters for the multi-press and two adapters for the lat pulldown – a total of four pieces. If you also want to convert both weight plate storage racks to 50 mm, you will need a total of six adapters. The adapters are also not included in the delivery.
