The SZ bar for unique arm training
A high-quality barbell should be a basic part of every fitness studio or home gym. The SZ bar provides the special and isolated muscle contraction in strength training! The classic barbell is straight, while the SZ bar allows for an ergonomic hand position thanks to its curved shape - SZ. This special dumbbell shape not only supports an ergonomic grip position, but also improves the execution of some exercises. The ergonomic hand position can prevent injuries, especially to the wrists. The non-slip knurling of the curl bars provides the necessary grip when performing the exercise. The robust bearing ensures that the weight plate holders run smoothly (spin).
SZ bars - exercises
Thanks to its unique curved shape, the SZ bar enables an ergonomic wrist and arm position. This positioning has a positive effect on the movement sequence in some strength exercises. The muscles to be contracted are thus better hit and lead to sustained, optimized muscle growth. The curl bar offers many different applications. Below we will look at the most popular SZ bar exercises:
Biceps curls : The classic, whether standing, sitting or on a curl bench. With an EZ bar, the biceps muscles are ideally targeted. The EZ bar offers two different grip options depending on your preference. With a narrow grip, the long head of the biceps is particularly stressed. With a wide grip, the short head and the forearm muscles are focused on.
Triceps press (French press): The French press exercise, also known as forehead press, is used by some athletes to develop strong and muscular triceps muscles. In combination with a flat bench, the exercise can be optimally performed using an SZ bar. The ergonomic hand position enables an ideal range of motion for maximum success. The exercise can also be performed while standing.
The curl bar is also often used for upright rows and shrugs.
Suitable weight for a SZ bar
For optimal handling of the SZ bar, we recommend using a maximum size of a 10 kg weight plate - approx. 35 cm in diameter. If exercises are performed behind the head or close to the body, larger weight plates can have a negative impact on handling and execution. In this context, the length of the weight plate holder must be taken into account. For example, we recommend the Polyurethane 4 Grip weight plate in 30 or 50 mm .
Advantages of the SZ bar
