What is a power rack?

A power rack is a fitness device that is used both at home in a home gym and in fitness studios. The rack consists of a very stable metal frame, usually four steel posts that are screwed together with cross braces. The lower cross members are the feet that give the rack stability. The upper ones connect the steel posts - usually a cross brace is installed as a pull-up bar to expand the range of exercises. What are the fundamental differences between power racks? The biggest differences are in the height, footprint, weight, load capacity and the so-called cage size. The cage size describes the usable training area in the power rack. Our ATX power rack models are divided into different series, so the 500 and 600 series offer the more compact power racks for smaller training areas and the 700 series offers massive and large power racks for large training areas and commercial use. A power rack is an absolute all-rounder and is particularly suitable for strength training and weight lifting.

The vertical steel posts of the ATX® Power Racks have a hole pattern system that allows you to attach power rack accessories such as J-hooks or emergency shelves. The hole pattern has a center distance of 5 cm, so the attachments can be adjusted very precisely in height and adapted to any body size or arm length. For even finer adjustment, there is the 755 Short Distance Spacing model. - here the power rack has a center distance of 2.5 cm in the lower half. The hole grids are also scaled with numbers inside and outside to make adjusting accessories easier. The racks are powder-coated in a black satin finish for a high-end finish.

Why should you buy an ATX power rack?

A power cage is particularly worthwhile if you do regular strength training and value exercise variety and safety in your strength training. Since such a rack also functions as a "mechanical spotter" , the purchase is also particularly suitable if you want to train basic exercises such as squats, bench presses, etc. intensively and safely at the limit of your performance alone and without a training partner . Therefore, a power rack is not only ideal for the home gym, but also for commercial fitness clubs and gyms. Here are some of the most decisive reasons for buying one. Power Racks :

1. Versatility : Thanks to the numerous optional attachment options, there are hardly any limits to your creativity when it comes to strength exercises. In addition to the basic barbell exercises, isolated units can also be completed. The power rack not only allows you to train all muscle groups, but above all offers the basis for safe and effective strength training with free weights. This is especially true for basic exercises that are performed with the barbell. These exercises form the heart of every training plan that pursues the goals of building muscle and strength or increasing performance. Isolated exercises are often used in addition to the basic exercises to bring the focused muscle to its performance limit. These exercises are often performed on a cable pull. The shelves can be adjusted in height quickly and easily using the hole grid system. This means that every athlete can find their ideal setting and train safely. In addition, the power racks offer stability thanks to their solid construction and steel structure, which is an absolute priority in strength training. The more solid the rack is constructed, the higher the load capacity. The ATX Power Rack 510 , our smallest rack, can hold up to 500 kg and our largest rack - ATX® Power Rack PRX-780 up to 1000 kg.
