This form of patient care is also called physical therapy. Both heat and cold are used in physical therapy. The two different approaches pursue different goals when it comes to treating a patient. In some cases, they can also be helpful in combination, but this always depends on the individual complaints of the affected person. When heat therapy is used

By applying heat specifically to painful areas of the body, blood circulation is stimulated and muscle tension is loosened, which can relieve pain for those affected. Heat therapy can also be very beneficial for complaints such as stiff joints, arthritis and physical limitations. In order to relieve complaints and symptoms in the long term, continuous application of heat can be advisable. However, this depends on the type of injury or (chronic) illness.

When you should use cold therapy

Therapists use cold to reduce inflammation and swelling. This type of therapy also helps to relieve the pain of those affected. The use of cold is particularly recommended for acute and temporary injuries such as bruises, sprains, strains and inflammation. For this reason, cold therapy, in contrast to heat therapy, is usually used temporarily to alleviate acute injury pain.

• Water bath : The water bath has an electronic temperature control with a red LED actual value display between 30° - 85°C. The strong insulation protects against heat loss.
• Red light radiator IRS - halogen radiator : A first-class infrared device for targeted heat therapy. The specially developed reflector transfers the heat evenly and over a large area to the irradiated part of the body.
• Fango agitator type FA : A vessel made of V2A stainless steel or high-density aluminum, equipped with a double jacket with thermal filling for fast and even heat transfer. The vessel is also protected from overheating by a temperature limiter.
