The ATX® Rubber Bumper Plates in the 150 kg Value Package fit easily on a standard 50 mm Olympic barbell. The set takes up approximately 29.9 cm of loading space per side. It consists of one 5 kg, 10 kg, 15 kg, 20 kg, and 25 kg plate per side.
If the bar is to be loaded with a total of 200 kg weight plates, two additional 25 kg plates could be added for example. This would increase the required loading length to approximately 39.3 cm per side. This is still possible with many standard barbells, but sufficient space must remain for the barbell collars.
Therefore, the key factor is the usable length of the loading sleeve of your specific barbell. For 200 kg of plate weight, we recommend a usable loading length of at least approximately 41 cm per side. With shorter loading sleeves, the relatively wide bumper plates may reach their space limit; in this case, thinner competition or steel plates would be better suited.
If the 200 kg refers to the total weight including a 20 kg barbell, only 180 kg of plate weight is needed. This load can typically be accommodated more easily on a standard Olympic barbell.
