Training on the Sissy Squat
The Sissy Squat trains the quadriceps, i.e. the front thigh muscle, as well and as isolated as hardly any other exercise. Even with the universally popular squats, many strength athletes complain about a lack of sensation in the leg extensors. Many strength athletes feel more stimulation in the back of the leg, the hamstrings, during squats. Since no hip flexion occurs during the Sissy Squat, it is wonderfully suited to build massive thighs. Leg training is important to strengthen and invigorate the muscles in the leg area and to improve overall fitness. Overall fitness largely depends on the legs, as they represent the largest muscle group in the human body. It can also help increase mobility and prevent injuries.
The Sissy Squat is ideal, for example, as an isolation exercise after a heavy basic exercise. This way, the muscle is already pre-fatigued and the leg extensor can be trained in isolation. Leg extensors and hamstrings can also be stimulated for muscle growth with our leg machines. If you particularly want to train your quadriceps, you can also use front squats, which you modify slightly.
