Jump & explosive strength training with the jump box
A jump box allows for numerous exercises to train and develop areas such as speed and jumping power. We can recommend a wide variety of exercises for training with this product:
- Squats: Jump from the ground onto the jump box. Land in the "squat position".
- Jumps : A coordinated jump with a perfect landing. This requires balance and strength in the legs.
- Squat jump: Explosive jumps onto the jump box to increase jumping power and leg muscle strength.
- Ascent and descent : Popular as both a warm-up and a workout. When ascending, swing your arms.
- Alternating one-legged jumps with quick side changes.
- Performing push-ups on the plyo box to train chest and triceps.
- Performing triceps dips for targeted arm training
Plyo Box Training - Tips
The Plyo Box in your Home Gym or Functional Fitness Box : A great advantage of the Plyo Box is its versatility, which makes it suitable even for compact training areas. Make sure there is enough space around the jump box to be able to move freely. Safety is crucial, so the Plyo Box is best placed directly on the floor without any additional mats or equipment.
Choose the right height : Choosing the right height for your plyo box depends not only on your height, but also on the type of exercise. Choose a lower height for endurance training, and a higher plyo box height for explosive jumping exercises and speed strength training. The height you choose should be safe for your training - minimise the risk of injury. Work your way up slowly and become familiar with the jumping exercises.
