Training with Mini Loops - Exercise Bands
Loop bands are more versatile than almost any other piece of fitness equipment. They can be used for warming up for strength training, strength training itself, Pilates, Yoga, rehab, or even Calisthenics. Fitness loops are particularly effective for muscle-specific warm-ups. With the help of resistance bands, you can perfectly warm up your shoulders and prepare the tendons, ligaments, and muscles themselves for the subsequent exertion. Exercises for the entire rotator cuff can be performed – from external to internal rotation. Another not insignificant health benefit is that training with bands does not stress the joints as much as traditional strength training. Many bodyweight exercises can be made more challenging by adding resistance. This also allows for training deeper muscles. With an exercise band, you set stronger training stimuli and make the repetition range more difficult.
If your strength training has become a bit too boring lately, an exercise band offers the optimal opportunity to bring some variety into your training. The most popular exercise with loop bands is probably the lunge / side step. Take the exercise band and step through it. Position the loop band above your knees. Now squat down slightly and step forward with one leg. The standing leg maintains stability and thus generates resistance. Repeat this exercise sequence as many times as you like. Once you have reached your desired number of repetitions, switch sides and train the other leg.
The exercise band is available in different strengths. This ensures the right resistance for every exercise, and the intensity can easily be increased at home after a few training sessions. A very similar product that should not be missing in any home gym are our Fitness Tubes.
