Yes, the AIREX® Calyana Pro is suitable for both yoga and Pilates and can be used without any problems for numerous Pilates exercises on the floor.
With a material thickness of 6.8 mm, the mat offers a good combination of cushioning, stability, and slip resistance. The textured surface provides secure grip, while the shape-stable construction supports controlled movement execution.
For most classic Pilates exercises, the 6.8 mm is generally sufficient. This applies in particular to exercises in supine or prone position as well as for stabilization and strengthening exercises.
For exercises with greater localized stress, such as kneeling position or prolonged support on the elbows, the relatively thin mat thickness on a hard surface may feel less comfortable.
If you particularly value pronounced cushioning or have sensitive knees or joints, we alternatively recommend a thicker fitness or Pilates mat.
