The ATX® Leg Press Hackenschmidt Combo is the ultimate leg press/Hackenschmidt machine for the heaviest professional training. Another adjustable roller band peg device enables a dynamically decreasing force curve, which brings enormous advantages for the Hackenschmidt exercise in terms of knee strain (relief). The extra-wide foot plate also allows for wide foot positions during leg presses. The backrest (foot plate) is adjustable to different angle positions. Leg Press - Training & Exercise Execution

The leg press is the perfect device to strengthen your entire leg musculature. You should always pay attention to the correct execution of the exercise. If you have never trained on a leg press before, it is advisable to have the process explained by a fitness trainer or through a video online. Even if adopting the correct posture looks simple, an incorrect posture can lead to counterproductive and harmful stress on the joints. Foot position and knee alignment are essential for various exercise executions. Warm up before training with the leg press and loosen your leg muscles after training so that the muscles can recover better.

The classic exercises performed on a leg press are the leg press and calf raises. The leg press can be performed with heavy weight. Due to the heavy training, especially the large thigh muscles are engaged. When performing the exercise, make sure to place your feet slightly outward to relieve stress on the knees. Now push the footplate away slightly and let it slowly come back towards you. As soon as an almost 45-degree angle between thigh and lower leg is reached, push the plate back up. Repeat this execution as often as desired, intensity and training plan individually dictate.

For calf raises, however, place your feet slightly turned outwards on the bottom of the footplate. Push the platform upwards and then let it come back towards you until your calves are fully extended. In this position, push the platform back up. Adjust the number of repetitions according to your training plan and training goal.
