Training with the lat pull-down bar

With a lat pulldown bar , you can train your back using a variety of grip options. Depending on whether you pull the bar in front of or behind your body, you can vary the intensity/effect and muscle contraction of the exercise and train different muscle groups. With a wide grip, you focus on the outer latissimus dorsi , while a narrow grip trains the inner latissimus dorsi. With a length of 120 cm , the ATX® Black Line lat pulldown bar is particularly well-suited for training the broader back muscles.

As with any exercise, correct form is crucial to achieve maximum muscle contraction and growth. Sit on a lat pulldown machine and secure your thighs under the leg pads. Keep your back straight, pull your shoulders back and tense your core. Pull the lat bar slowly and in a controlled manner towards your chest by pulling your shoulder blades together. Hold this position briefly and then let the lat bar return to the starting position in a controlled and smooth manner. Make sure you perform the movement in a controlled and smooth manner. Perform the movement sequence approximately 8 to 12 times. If you can easily exceed 12 repetitions, we recommend increasing the weight.
